The last couple of weekends have been very busy. Over Easter I knit two of Tina Whitmore’s Page Boy Hats. The pattern, which also has designs for a flapper style hat and a beret, is available from StitchDiva. This pattern is great! The Page Boy hats are so easy and I’ve been really pleased with the results. The hats have felted brims and use a chunky yarn, although I used two strands of worsted weight yarn instead.
I’ve used Nefertiti (yes, I know she isn’t the
real one but she’s still very glamourous and queen-like), to model the hats.
Her head isn’t human
head sized which is why the hats look a bit too big. Check out the StitchDiva page to see the exact size.
The first is knit with two strands of Lamb’s Pride Worsted in Onyx
The second is from two strands of Colinette Skye in Summer Berries.
Remember the March 24th entry of Mariko’s blog? Well the bottom parcel
arrived at my house over the weekend. You’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see what was inside it! 🙂
That is one stylish Nefertiti!
If the contents of that box correspond to the label, I could demolish a few dozen of them in one sitting….
Love your site and your podcasts! You make me want to do a quilt/textile art one!
