Knit Cast Update!

I’ve been looking at some audio chat software for Knit Cast interviews. I’ve tested AOL Instant Messenger with Mariko and with Wendy tonight. Thanks for helping me out guys! Shame that neither conversation recorded! Well, my voice recorded but theirs didn’t. 🙁 Ah well, it’s only the first stage of testing…! I’m going to join the podcasters email group, I should be able to find out what works from there.

Next Wednesday I’ll be recording my first feature. This will be out on location with a mini disc recorder so it will be of better quality than what I’m currently able to produce at home on my computer with my crappy mic! 🙂

Depending on how the recording goes I hope that the podcast will be ready to download sometime next weekend. We’ll see!

Knitting wise I’m working on the first sleeve of Klaralund. I’ve already knit one of the back/fronts.  No pix because the battery in my digital camera needs recharging. That also means no pix of the amazing load of goodies, inc. two different types of my favourite beverage  – Mexican hot chocolate, sent to me from Elizabeth in New Mexico. Thanks Elizabeth!

No pix of my completed Agnes either. This is actually a cardigan from from one of Jane Ellison’s  Noro books. I didn’t make that clear when I first posted images of it, that it wasn’t  a waistcoat. I finished seaming it on Sunday and then washed it. It took a  couple of days to dry  but is considerably softer. It’s also my favourite knited garment so far aside from my Mango Moon poncho.

I’ve also finished my black Lamb’s Pride poncho. I used Yarn Harlot’s pattern for it and while black items are very useful, they are incredibly boring to knit.

Lastly a big apology  – I owe emails to many good friends. I’ve had a lot of work stuff recently and it’s eaten into personal time. So, sorry for the delay but I will write back over the weekend.

Oh and before I go…I got some Blue Moon Fibres sock yarn in the mail the other day! It’s amazing! I want to knit socks now! But I also want to finish Klaralund first because one day I want to be a knitter of few unfinished projects rather than a knitter of many unfinished objects! 🙂

  1. What??!! My pearls of wisdom were not recorded for posterity. Probably just as well, really.
It was lovely to talk with you!
